Dropping in to add a recipe to the blog after a long time. It’s been a slow season in the kitchen these past few months. But when we perfect a recipe, we’re more than excited to share it with our readers.
To be fair though, you will need to invest in a waffle maker or a sandwich grill with a waffle plate for this recipe.
If you love snacking on waffles or have kids, it’s definitely worth investing in one. Is you’ll have our no-fail waffle recipe to turn to! Weekend breakfast sorted.

Let’s Get Cooking
Recipe
Makes 4 Waffles
Ingredients
All purpose flour/Maida – 1 cup
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Melted butter – 1/2 cup
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Milk – 1 – 1 & 1/2 cup
Eggs – 2
Vanilla – 1 tsp / Nutmeg powder (Jaiphal) – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Method
Mix together APF, Baking Powder and Salt.
Whisk the egg vigourously until light and frothy. Add vanilla or nutmeg powder to the egg.
Pour the egg into the dry mixture and mix.
Pour in the melted butter in the batter little by little as the hot butter can start cooking the eggs. Do not whisk vigourously at this stage.
Now pour in the milk in parts till you get the right consistency.
Keep the batter aside for 10 minutes while you heat your waffle maker.
Once heated, pour the batter evenly and let it cook until you get a golden brown colour on both sides.
That’s it! Your perfect waffle is ready to dig into.
Enjoy with some melted butter/fresh fruits/chocolate sauce or honey.
