Since we love pancakes so much, we make a whole variety depending on what ingredients we have handy. On most Sundays, the sweet smell of pancake takes over our kitchen and home. These pancakes are perfectly fluffy enough and can easily stack up too!
We made these using our favourite all-natural beetroot flour. But you can use wheat flour instead; there’s absolutely no change in taste.

Recipe
Yields: 5-7 pieces
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
Wheat flour: 250 gms (Alternatively, substitute with same quantity of beetroot wheat flour. The taste doesnβt really change, just a natural colour.)
Cinnamon powder: 1/2 tsp
Baking powder: 1/2 tsp
Salt: 1/2 tsp
Wet Ingredients
Milk: 1/2 cup
Egg: 1 (Substitute with Milk: 1/4 cup + Oil: 1 tbsp)
Honey: 1/4 cup (you can add more depending on how sweet you want it)
Water: 2 tbsp + a little more depending on the consistency of the batter
Butter: 2 tbsp (melt it before adding)
Mashed Bananas: 2 medium sized
Method
Mix all the dry ingredients and make sure they’re well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to this and combine well. Now mix in the mashed bananas.
Add water to reach the right batter consistency. (Check the video)
Heat a pan, add 1/4 tsp oil and pour about 100 ml of batter.
Pour a few drops of oil on top. Cover and cook for about a minute or until it holds shape while flipping. Flip and cook for 30 seconds to a minute again.
Serve warm with toppings of your choice.
If you want a nice shape you can use a round shaped cutter or a pancake pan like in the video.
Bonus! Caramelised Banana Topping
Heat the pan on high flame and add 3 tbsps sugar, 2 tbsps butter and 2 sliced bananas. Caramelise on medium to high flame and flip in between.
Serve on pancakes with a drizzle of honey!
