Strawberry is one of the most versatile flavours for me. I use it in a lot of desserts and health foods to add that tinge of sweet ‘n sour taste. This one is healthy and made without adding any sweeteners as the strawberries I use are usually in season and quite flavourful.
It’s perfect for breakfast or even dinners as the oats in it adds to fiber content. Keeps you feeling full for long.
Serves: 2
Ingredients
Strawberries: 1/2 cup fresh or frozen (you can always add more if you like)
Oats: Half cup instant oats
Milk: 1/2 cup
Yogurt: 1/2 cup
Flax seeds: 2 tsps
Honey: 2 tbsps (optional)
Few cubes of ice
Method
Cook the oats in water and allow it to cool.
Roughly slice the strawberries. Once cooled, add the oats, strawberries, milk and yogurt and blend together with a few cubes of ice.
Top it with flax seeds.
Serve chilled garnished with sliced strawberries!
